Citrix Server System Requirements

Frequently Asked Questions

 

The system requirements for systems running ICA Macintosh to access the Citrix server are:
  • 68030 processor, or later 
  • Operating system: System 7.1 with Thread Manager, or later 
  • 4MB of available RAM 
  • 2MB of available hard disk storage 
  • 16 or 256 color video display 
  • Open Transport TCP/IP Version 1.1, or later 
  • A network interface card (NIC) or onboard ethernet for network connections to Citrix servers  - or -  A modem and PPP networking software for serial connections to Citrix servers 

The Citrix server supports connections from Solaris/Sparc, Solaris/x86, SunOS, Compaq Tru64 (formerly Digital UNIX), HP/UX, IBM AIX, SGI IRIX, SCO-UNIX, and Linux. There is also a Java 1.1-compliant ICA Java client.

PC users do not need to use the Citrix server.
